DeLeers Millwork Achieves FSC Chain of Custody Certification
DeLeers Millwork was recently certified to provide architectural woodwork that meets the Forest Stewardship Council’s stringent environmental, social and economic standards. The Chain of Custody Certification allows DeLeers Millwork to offer products made from materials that can be traced back to well-managed, FSC qualified forests.
DeLeers Millwork participated in an assessment conducted by Scientific Certification Systems where the company demonstrated its ability to track materials throughout the production process. All incoming materials that are purchased from FSC certified sources are carefully identified and remain separated from all other materials within DeLeers’ production facility. The subsequent finished woodwork products may retain the FSC certification and are delivered with documentation noting that the origins of the materials have been responsibly managed to FSC forestry standards.
The Forest Stewardship Council is an international organization that promotes environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world’s forests.
DeLeers Millwork is a manufacturer of premium quality architectural woodwork. The firm is certified by the Architectural Woodwork Institute’s Quality Certification Corporation, and is the recipient of four Awards of Excellence.
