UPDATE: Small Business Award Nears Death

It was a good run, but after 24 days, Element’s business award is nearing the point of no return. After receiving numerous tips, suggestions, and instructional VHS tapes on how to garden, Account Executive Nikki Pribnow was still unable to handle the immense pressure of keeping the centerpiece alive.

“Okay, so it’s a little brown,” stated Pribnow. “I actually prefer the color brown over green anyway, don’t you? Plus, I did exactly what the videotapes said to do, so it’s obviously not my fault. I even made sure my VCR’s tracking was perfect.”

After rambling on for about ten minutes, Pribnow eventually pointed the finger towards a coworker. “This whole mess is Jamie’s fault. I think she wanted to feed it to that hamster the entire time. She obviously is obsessed and needs help, I mean, who keeps a hamster on their desk!”

As one last effort, the centerpiece has been planted outside to be a part of the yard for Element’s new building. If unsuccessful, Pribnow will at least be able to view the final resting place of her great achievement from her new office. (Click to enlarge the photos below.)

New building, new yard.

To have love and lost grass like that can always be traumatic. I think Nikki is channeling her inner self hatred and disappointment in her plant rearing skills. Counselors will be available on site to help the rest of the staff cope with this tragic loss.

I’m not going to lie. It was a tough weekend. But thankfully, I have been surrounded by supportive family and friends to get me through this difficult time. I never could’ve prepared myself for the great sense of pain and loss I feel right now. Rest in peace, little grass patch.
