As a member of the media team, the Paid Media Strategist plays a critical role in driving measurable business outcomes through strategic, data-informed campaign execution. This role is responsible for collaborating on strategy, executing paid digital advertising campaigns across digital platforms and display networks, and optimizing and analyzing multi-channel paid media campaigns that align with client and organizational goals. Working closely with the Media Director and cross-functional partners, the Paid Media Strategist ensures all efforts are strategically sound, creatively aligned, and performance-optimized—leveraging insights, testing, and emerging tools to continuously improve results.
Reports to Media Director.
Position is in-office a minimum of 3 days/week, based on the business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the Media Director to develop paid media strategies that define goals, target audiences, budgets, and KPIs.
- Develops media measurement strategies tied to business goals and marketing objectives.
- Ensures cross-platform strategy alignment to maximize campaign impact.
- Conducts keyword and audience behavior research to refine targeting strategies.
- Builds audience segments and targeting plans for higher engagement and precision.
- Launches and manages campaigns across platforms like Meta, LinkedIn, Google Ads, and others.
- Assists in creative kick-off meetings with the Accounts Team to ensure creative assets align with campaign objectives.
- Assists with media asset deadline management and delivery.
- Recommends and conducts A/B testing on creative, targeting, and tactics to boost ROI when applicable.
- Continuously monitors, analyzes, and optimizes campaign performance to improve targeting, placement, and ROI.
- Manages and optimizes campaign budgets by utilizing appropriate bidding strategies to meet performance goals.
- Configures and maintains reporting tools for efficient data analysis for media reporting/clients.
- Creates custom segments and advanced tracking in Google Analytics (GA4) for media reporting/clients.
- Analyzes website user behavior to generate revenue-driving insights for media reporting/clients.
- Formulates and presents strategic data and actionable insights from paid initiatives with internal teams and clients via progress updates and reports.
- Assists with media credit card reconciliation promptly every month.
- Assists in managing media software and schedules.
- Tests new technologies and approaches to improve campaign effectiveness.
- Performs miscellaneous media administration tasks as needed, including supporting new business efforts (research, proposals, pitches).
