Production/Traffic Manager

Element is looking for a production/traffic manager to take responsibility for the internal scheduling of work throughout our agency. You’ll prep all jobs, assign a schedule of completion to each, coordinate movement throughout all departments, track production status, and tie up loose ends upon completion.

The production/traffic manager must be a strong communicator, be comfortable working across all channels (print, video, interactive, digital, content), possess meticulous attention to detail, work well with others, and understand agency workflow.

Key tasks include coordinating timing and staff resources, implementing agency processes, ensuring projects are kept on budget and work is produced at a high level.

Responsibilities:

  • Enters all agency jobs into a time-tracking software
  • Prepares projects for production when necessary
  • Ensures required information is organized and available to team members to begin production
  • Consults with directors, when necessary, to distribute projects to team members according to workload, schedule, and skillset
  • Maintains a daily production schedule and checks in daily with team members to ensure work flows through the agency in the most efficient manner
  • Smoothes out bottlenecks and expedites rush jobs while ensuring that all due dates and schedules are met
  • Reviews change orders from account executives and/or clients to proactively keep work moving through the agency
  • Reports any problems affecting job quality, due dates, and costs to team members
  • Assists account executives with selection of vendors, based on quality control, budget and timing
  • Coordinates vendor needs, securing competitive pricing that fits into project budgets
  • Identifies the need for freelancers and coordinates asset delivery and deadlines
  • Assists with project estimating
  • Proofs projects for accuracy and completeness
  • Provides back up support to account team and offers courteous and timely responses when addressing customer questions and concerns
  • Closes jobs properly and coordinates closure with billing department
  • Follows archival process for completed jobs

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience within marketing or comparable industry
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Strong decision-making and prioritization skills
  • Builds solid, effective working relationships with others
  • Possesses a high standard for quality work
  • Self-motivated with a proven ability to multi-task
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of project management software preferred
  • Prior agency experience a plus
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree or equivalent business experience preferred

Creative/Copywriter

Did you notice the slash in the job title? If you did, you might be the right fit. (I am pretty sure that the last sentence had some grammar issues, sorry, but we want it all!)

Now, for the lowdown.

Element, a full-service advertising, web development, digital marketing, and public relations agency in De Pere and Neenah, WI, is looking for Creative/Copywriter. This position is responsible for coming up with the creative concepts to drive brands, light up campaigns, and bring them to life with electrifying copy! You will work with the art director(s) to interpret concepts/copy into a completed design. When the “big idea” originates from a graphic concept rather than copy, the copywriter supplies copy to achieve the execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Coming up with “Big Idea” creative concepts
  • Develops concepts and campaigns of outstanding quality for interactive/web, print, broadcast, direct mail, out-of-home, and other forms of promotion for agency and clients.
  • Writes for all media types to build awareness of client brands, products, and product benefits, and helps to stimulate sales.
  • Strives for excellence in concept/copy, helping the agency to gain recognition for excellent work in ad agency and business communities.
  • Oversees copy for the creative product from inception through completion to ensure a high level of quality and maintenance of concept through approval of design.
  • Creates all advertising copy for approval, downloading into design/layout software, etc.
  • Researches clients’ products/services/image to ensure the ability to write accurate, on-target copy/concepts for assigned projects.
  • Works with the creative director to develop and maintain text style templates for the agency and all clients, to ensure consistent brand identity across all media.
  • Assures that all copy is checked and proofread.
  • Works to ensure copy/concepts serve the purpose of first and foremost promoting the client’s brand image and/or selling their product or service, according to the strategic, creative plan.
  • Assists in writing proposals, marketing plans, publicity, etc., as requested.
  • Contributes original material to the agency blog on a regular basis.
  • Maintains current software skills compatible with the needs of other creative team members.

Reports to the Creative Director.

Content Marketing Specialist

The role of the content marketing specialist will be to research, write and develop engaging and relevant content across multiple communication channels and social platforms. They will assist in the development and execution of an overall content strategy while producing high-quality short, medium and long-form copy that incorporates best practices for digital use.

The content marketing specialist position will be located at our Neenah office.

Key Functional Areas of Responsibility

  • Research, write and edit copy for a variety of content including but not limited to: blogs, press releases, social media, websites and email.
  • Develop a distinct and unique tone of voice for each client and brand.
  • Determine the most impactful way to re-purpose content for a variety of channels.
  • Analyze campaign results using social media monitoring tools and make recommendations to maximize the effectiveness of the campaigns.
  • Work with the creative team to develop visual assets.
  • Collaborate with SEO/SEM Analyst to ensure content meets established SEO guidelines, implementing keyword research and optimization recommendations into content pieces.
  • Perform ongoing research on industry trends to maintain fresh and relevant perspective in all communications.
  • Interact with various agency teams to ensure successful client outcomes.
  • Be responsible for editing all copy and overseeing the proofing process for the content marketing team.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience as a writer, public relations professional, marketing communications specialist, journalist or editor.
  • A bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations or marketing.
  • A passion for writing and a journalistic approach to story ideation and creation.
  • Have a general understanding of marketing fundamentals and strategies.
  • Understand the fundamentals of conducting research and interviews.
  • Have a thirst for knowledge and be comfortable working with unfamiliar industries and audiences.
  • Proficient knowledge of content marketing practices, tactics and strategies.
  • Extensive experience with copywriting and editing for marketing campaigns.
  • A strong understanding and experience using WordPress CMS.
  • Experience using Photoshop to modify, resize and create web friendly images.
  • A working knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, WebTrends)
  • Understanding of SEO and keyword optimization.
  • Be a very strong editor and proofreader with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with proven ability to multi-task and solve problems.
  • Be capable of working in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Be highly organized.
